this armor does have 1 less enmity which doesnt hurt at all especially when ur XP armor u usually party with ='s +23 enmity (merits rock). who said 1 extra Vitality didnt help is a Divine Magic Skills +10 is also compared to what MND +4?. this armor has HP+20 and if any1 knows anything about HP duh we pld's need it not MP unless ur Galkan :P, Vitality +6. most pld's lvl 73+ wear Adaman Armor Which stats include MP +8 Vitality +4 Mind +4 Enmity +3. I will be running around Leviathin proudly sporting this new piece of equipment as soon as I get the last 3kxp I need to get to level 74 ^^īefore any1 bump's this and says this isnt good for XP parties or even gods or HNM's for that think about it. I would say that I will be very happy when I get this piece of armor, and will probably wear it for a very long time before I even get the chance at either of the other 2 items that are any better than this^^ Or the rarity of the chance of the Valor Surcoat dropping in my Dynamis LS, and then the small chance that I would win the lot against the other PLDs in the LS.
Ffxi toau new armor upgrade#
I have attained the pieces for this upgrade in just a couple months of doing Limbus runs with a good group of people, and I imagine with the rarity of Koenig Body drops and the chance of an LS Im in even getting the pull to get a chance. People can sit there and talk about how much better the Valor Surcoat+1 or Koenig are, but how many PLD have you seen with Koenig Body? How Many have you seen with a regular Valor Surcoat, let alone the Surcoat+1. This body piece can replace Adamant body completely for XP, and HNM situations. With the mix of HP, vit, defense, emnity and divine skill. Other than that this is the best middle road piece of equip for PLD. Valor being better for merit situations where you are tanking, and Koenig being better for HNM because of HP and VIT. The truth is that this body piece for PLD is only surpassed by the Valor Surcoat+1 and Koenig Body. Many people pay millions of gil to do equipment upgrades that only add a few points to important stats. This body piece is well worth it in my opinion. If you are then you too need to break your computer and go out and look at a basket of apples and oranges, and learn the difference. You also can not compare tanking pre-75 exp parties to gods/hnm's. But like all PLD gear it's PURELY SITUATIONAL, and every tanking situation calls for a different piece of gear.
But when tanking /NIN you really need all the hate you can get, but if your arguement is that the +1 emnity is a make or break thing for 1 piece of armor then you need to go back to tanking school. Also with the changes to Sentinal, and the shield blocking, You don't really need a whole lot of vit or defense because once you get hit a couple times, you got your other PLD curing you, or your 2-3 whm's healing you as well. As for HNM's, and Gods, etc, the gear is strictly situational, since most things are tanked /NIN anyways, and you only need to stay alive long enough to get those shadows up. Number 1 if your in a merit party and holding hate, then you need to get new DD's becuase that thing should be dead in about 30-40 seconds, or you just need to go out and get a Hauby. The stats are far better then the Valor Surcoat. I'm loving ToAU, but this stupid mission is annoying.I tank exclusively in this, and love it. So does anyone want to help me? Or at least give me some tips (I don't plan on changing my job for just one mission, although if there is no other choice, I coul level up Black Mage just to have Sleepga II). I know that I can use the command /assist to make things easier, but I'm really bad at using the chat and the targeting system. I'm able to move on to the second part of the fight, but Naja always dies there, and frustratingly when there is only one enemy left. I've tried 13 times already with no luck.
I could finish the battle with no problems at all. I haven't had many difficulties playing the game solo, especially considering I'm a really, really bad player (I'm just playing for the story).
